This is the story of people, all people, different and alike redefining the term of beauty. I will am continually looking to uplift and showcase the beauty in our differences. I want to raise awareness and change the face of beauty in this world. Let's break beauty barriers together.

2022 UPDATE: 

​

Redefining Beauty, originally released in 2021, focused on changing society’s definition of beauty. That being different is beautiful, all body types, ages, every wrinkle, grey hair, shape and size is beautiful..... As the project has grown it has shifted to include the inner struggles that also make us beautiful. From cancer survivors, those born with physical differences, those who have suffered accidents, to the internal struggles we can't see - survivors of suicide, abuse, neglect, eating disorders, and mental illness.

Beginning this year and going forward, my goal is build a fierce and thought provoking movement into what we all face everyday, but sometimes don't feel we have a voice to speak up about, or feel ashamed of because of societal norms. I want to remove the stigma of mental illness, remove the unrealistic standards of beauty, remove the shame of "different" body types and show the beauty that is surviving through the pain and the struggle inside and out.

This project, unlike others, gives each subject their own voice. Every subject their own cause they stand behind, their own social issue they want change for, or stigma they fight to be broken. And these images are their platform.
